Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Education announced the second batch of new engineering research and practice projects. The project "Integrated Innovation Development and practice Model Construction of Food processing and Nutrition Health practice platform under the background of International Tourism City Health Industry" declared by our school was selected as the reform project of "Development and guarantee of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education practice platform for New Engineering talents".
The goal of the construction of "New Engineering" is to actively respond to the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial change, to support and serve the national innovation-driven development and major strategies such as "Belt and Road Initiative", "made in China 2025" and "Internet +". We will speed up the reform and innovation of engineering education and realize the support and guarantee of talents needed for industrial transformation and upgrading. Since February 2017, the Ministry of Education has actively promoted the construction of "new engineering", successively formed the "Fudan consensus", "Tianda Action" and "Beijing Guide", and made every effort to explore the Chinese model and experience that lead the world in engineering education. to help build a powerful country in higher education. The Ministry of Education requires all colleges and universities to make practical efforts, work out practical measures, and seek practical results, to gather more consensus with the concept of "new engineering" as the forerunner, to carry out diversified exploration under the guidance of demand, to strengthen exchanges and cooperation on the platform of project groups, and to increase project support by co-ordinating internal and external resources, so as to promote the implementation of the "new engineering" project in the spirit of seizing the hour and waiting for no time.
Our school will take this opportunity to comprehensively meet the requirements of the construction of "new engineering" and actively promote the reform and construction of "new engineering". We will carry out in-depth research and practice around the new concept, new structure, new model, new quality and new system of engineering education reform, promote the organic integration of science education, humanities education, engineering education and collaborative education, and effectively improve the quality of engineering personnel training in our school.
It is reported that a total of 845 projects from 363 universities have been approved, including 273 new engineering comprehensive reform projects and 572 new engineering professional reform projects. Among them, the comprehensive reform projects include 9 project groups, such as new engineering concept research project group, professional structure reform project group, high-level talent training project group, multi-disciplinary project group, etc. Professional reform projects include artificial intelligence project group, big data project group, computer and software engineering project group, electronic information project group, instrument project group and so on.
